Start your shingle installation off right with Tamko Perforated Starter Course Shingles, an important part of any roofing system and 1 of the Tamko Starter products that can be used with Tamko asphalt shingle installations as part of the requirements for a Tamko High Wind Warranty (up to 160 mph depending on the shingle). Tamko Perforated Starter shingles are perforated to allow them to be separated into 2 Starter strips. Made of fiberglass mat coated on both sides with coating grade asphalt and surfaced with ceramic granules. or application to the eave or rake edge prior to shingle application. Allows for proper alignment of shingle courses. The starter strip fills in the spaces under the shingles joints and allows the first course of shingles to seal. These shingles can not be used as the starter course with 3-Tab shingles.
